Bournemouth Beach Lodges set just above a row of classic beach huts, Bournemouth, UK

A seaside break is restorative any time of the year and with the current global health crisis, a very attractive staycation option. Bournemouth Beach Lodges, located on seven miles of a wide, sandy beach, are an excellent choice for a coastal getaway. These 24 compact seaside lodges in Bournemouth, Dorset are a chic upgrade on the classic British beach hut. There are around 2,000 traditional beach huts on Bournemouth beach but overnight stays aren’t permitted or practical. Twenty four larger “huts” with overnight accommodation were launched in 2017 and they’re open all year round, including Christmas and New Year’s Eve. Currently, in order to follow government guidelines and make visitors feel safe, only 11 of the 24 lodges are operating at any one time. Every other lodge can be occupied to ensure a safe, socially distanced break.
