From September, Regent’s Seven Seas Splendor will resume cruising from the United Kingdom. If it were a car, this vessel would be described as being ‘still in showroom condition’. Launched in February 2020, it had completed just two cruises before the world went into lockdown.
As with any tourism provider operating in Covid times, there has been a renewed emphasis on health and safety with its SailSAFE program. Obviously, before you even get on board, there will be a bunch of medical checks. These can be found at RSSC.com/HealthSafetyProtocols and include guests and crew being fully vaccinated at least two weeks prior to departure and having universal testing.
The first cruise is an 11-night itinerary out of Southampton around Scotland, Northern Ireland and Ireland. Subsequent cruises will explore the Mediterranean before crossing the Atlantic for a Caribbean season.
