Cairo’s tourist wheel would take visitors 120 metres above the city to enjoy spectacular views of the Nile River and the city, Egypt Today reported. Visitors will enjoy views for up to 50km on clear days. This will guarantee incredible vistas of the Great Pyramids of Giza and Cairo’s famous Sphinx.

The giant wheel will have 48 cabins which can each transport eight people. Travel and Leisure reports it will be one of Cairo’s landmark tourist attractions. The site will become a premier entertainment precinct. It will also boast shops, cinemas, an events hall, restaurants and cafés, and a pier for visitors arriving by water taxi.
