“This year, prices are already down 40% from this time last year and travelers will see even bigger discounts on Travel Deal Tuesday, with prices expected to be 34% lower compared to last year,” says Liana Corwin, consumer travel expert at travel booking app, Hopper, which collects 25 a 30 billion flight and hotel price quotes every day and has built a huge historical archive of trillions of prices from over the past several years.

But there are some things to know when going into the Black Friday sale season—especially during a pandemic. For one thing, with uncertainty around future travel plans, flexibility will be key, so you should make sure the company you’re booking with has flexible travel policies when it comes to their Black Friday, Cyber Monday and Travel Tuesday deals.
