Sumary of Center Parcs unveils £350m plan to open sixth UK holiday village in Sussex:
- It plans on submitting a planning application to the local authority “in due course” and says the site is suitable due to its close proximity to the south of London.
- “Today’s announcement marks the first step of a long journey and there is still a huge amount of work to be done before we can submit a planning application.
- Mims Davies, Mid Sussex MP, said the park holds “massive potential rocket” for the local economy and will boost tourism in the area”.
- Mid Sussex District Council Leader Jonathan Ash-Edwards added: “There is a rigorous planning process ahead, but their interest is a huge boost for the Sussex economy as it recovers from the pandemic.” Due to Covid, Center Parcs is offering free cancellation and a full refund or a change of dates with no amendment fee within 11 weeks of the break up to 18 April 2022.
