Those in England and Wales currently cannot travel abroad unless it’s for an essential purpose such as work. England’s lockdown is expected to end on December 2 but it’s not clear what the travel situation will be after then. There have been reports that a tiered system will be put back in place which could impact travel within the UK and abroad.


Currently, TUI is only flying to the Canary Islands from Scotland.

Britons do not need to quarantine on their return to the UK from the Canary Islands.

However, TUI have said on their website that they expect to be able to take travellers to several other destinations soon.

Currently, travel abroad is off the cards in England and Wales unless it’s for an essential purpose.

TUI’s website reads: “Due to the lockdown restrictions in place, we’re not operating any holidays from England, Wales or Northern Ireland from 00:01 on November 5 up to and including December 1.

“If your holiday is affected, we’ll be in touch.”

Ryanair has announced additional flights which will begin on December 17.
