There’s no doubt this pandemic has turned the culinary landscape upside down, forcing restaurants of all price points to pivot. No place does that shift in gears feel more dramatic than at the destination dining venues, where the experience of dining in is what makes them so special. Huge high fives to those who’ve managed to make the transition to take-out seamlessly.

In Chicago, Alinea is offering a Thanksgiving feast that requires roasting the turkey at home. Not to worry, the fresh, fresh-range bird comes with compound butter, seasonings and detailed instructions from chef Grant Achatz, plus spectacular sides and desserts. The holiday spread is $75 per person and can be picked up at three locations.

Osteria Mozza is asking guests to pick up the lavish Thanksgiving dinner on Wednesday, with dishes designed to be easily reheated. The mouthwatering menu at this popular Nancy Silverton restaurant in Los Angeles includes a garlic-glazed turkey breast and a roasted thigh stuffed with fennel sausage plus a half a dozen different sides and the choice of dessert. The lavish $395 meal serves four.
