Disney Just Released Renderings of Their New Immersive ‘Star Wars’ Hotel and It’s Amazing

Despite shutdowns and travel restrictions, Disney still has a way of inciting happiness and magic. How? The entertainment powerhouse just released renderings of their highly-anticipated Star Wars-themed hotel that’s set to open at Walt Disney World in the near future.

The original announcement for the hotel came in 2019 when the company revealed that Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser experience would include a two-night stay on the Halcyon. Much like a cruise, during the themed vacation, you would become fully immersed in the fictional world and even make excursions to Black Spire Outpost on Batuu.

Not surprisingly, this excited the franchise fans. And now, just over a year after the first announcement, they get to see what it would look like to stay aboard a starship. Disney Parks Chairman Josh D’Amaro shared renderings during the virtual International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions show a comfortable, futuristic setting. The rooms are outfitted in gray and orange and feature spaceship-like details throughout. The TV looks like a command center while a window shows off views of space and nearby planets.

Clearly, the rooms were designed with families in mind as it comes with a central bed and two bunker style accommodations stacked on top of each other. Light-up panels that control the room’s settings look like that Luke Skywalker would use. Beyond the themed room, guests will also get to use a lightsaber and learn how to pilot a starship.
