Greece Extends Restrictions on Domestic and International Flights

Greece has extended restrictions for domestic and international passengers due to rising cases of COVID-19. 

For domestic flights, the restrictions have been extended till April 12, and for International passengers, it’s till April 19.

It has been made mandatory for passengers to carry their RT-PCR negative report, tested within 72 hours of their arrival. Visitors will also have to go for random COVID testing for further curbing the spread of virus.

Foreign passengers will have to be quarantined for seven days, except Israeli travellers who have been vaccinated for at least two weeks before their arrival.

Except for 10 countries, flights from non-European member states have been banned. However, for domestic flights, only essential travel is allowed.

This comes after a sudden increase in COVID-19 cases. The country has reported more than 2,73,000 cases and 8,300 deaths since the beginning of pandemic.
