Holidays: The cheapest times to book a holiday without the help of sales

After a long winter interspersed with lockdown regulations, many Britons may be hoping to jet off abroad to sunnier climates for a relaxing break. With Black Friday right around the corner, sales and deals are about to kick off.

One traveller explained: “Last minute deals, look at unpopular seasons and stay flexible with your flight dates.”

He continued: “I did 4 days in Rome with my better half for about £200 a piece staying in a 4*.

“I still go on a ‘lads’ holiday every year with my uni friends, despite being in our 30s now.

“ We usually choose the cheapest flights we can find then book an Airbnb. We have done weekends for under £100 per person before now.

Previously, Which? Travel editor Rory Boland also shared insight into the best time of year to book.
