New 500-Foot-Long Superyacht Concept Pulls Inspiration From Sharks

Yacht builders are always looking for ways to stand out. Heesen Yachts is working to create the world’s fastest aluminum yacht, while Rimor X will feature an underwater lounge. Now, superyacht design studio Lazzarini Design just unveiled its latest project inspired by one of the most fascinating sea creatures: the shark.

Called Prodigium, the superyacht concept is a whopping 500 feet long with no detail being overlooked. The design includes six decks, three swimming pools, and room for not one but three helicopters. Incredibly, the pools feature water that cascade from one aft deck to the next creating a towering waterfall effect on the boat’s back.

The interior is equally impressive. Here you’ll find a vast living space with a main communal room for dining and lounging on the top deck. There are also enough cabins to comfortably accommodate 44 guests, 18 staff members, and 12 crew. But, there’s plenty of room for daily visitors as well. The lower back deck was created as a private port so other yachts can pop on by and moor up to the superyacht.

And with so many travelers onboard the floating city, there’s bound to be plenty of activities available. Two garages can hold eight tenders to make it easy for everyone to get to shore. Not to mention, there’s plenty of space for jet skis and other water sports equipment.
