Optus Stadium is known for its roaring crowds and competitive competitions, but it’s also home to many unique event spaces which host a diverse array of gatherings from weddings and cocktail parties, to conferences and business expos. When we asked what she had witnessed in the event space, Meetings & Special Events Sales Manager at Optus Stadium Nadia Owen said although she had noticed a shift, she had also noticed the people of Perth were not slowing down and felt lucky to proceed with her usual fast-paced and productive clients.
“We have been incredibly lucky in Perth to bounce back to ‘normal’ so quickly after the first lockdown, and whilst there have been some challenges, business events have flourished,” Ms Owen said.
“We are fortunate to have picked up on a lot of business that would typically use hotel ballrooms,” she said.
Because Optus Stadium is a venue of such grandeur, it can enforce government safety measures and host large-scale events —that are not limited— at the same time…
