Snake River Lodge
Snake River Sporting Club is a luxury resort and residential community in the middle of nowhere but surrounded by everything—in this case over 1,000 acres of preserved land and national forest. It’s also a short drive to shopping and dining and the other big town trappings of Jackson Hole. This year promises big changes for the destination, which has undertaken everything from complete renovations to new additions, including breaking ground on the new Elk Run Lodge (30 rooms). Most importantly, they’ve added a hospitality genius to the team, Sandy Beall, who is best known as the founder of Ruby Tuesday and the chairman and co-founder of the internationally acclaimed Relais & Chateaux property, Blackberry Farm.
Beall’s instincts for what makes something exceptional motivated his decision to join the Snake River team. “A few things attracted me to Snake River,” he explains, “but the most important thing was the land. Land is the one resource they don’t make anymore. This property is a protected one too. Everything I am involved with is about the land. If you start with bad land there is no potential.”
